Flying Proms

This was a mixed event, starting with a musical performance, followed by flying sequences with musical accompaniment (see below for the Lancaster and Dambusters theme) and, as dusk fell, we returned to music. Most enjoyable although we forsook the final fireworks to nip away before the hordes joined queues for the exit and managed to hit the road for the 130 mile trip home without any trouble, although it was still half an hour before midnight before we got back. Anyway, here are some pictures from the flying display:

Shuttleworth revisited

We were at Shuttleworth just over a year ago for their Fly Navy show but last Sunday was my birthday which made for a good excuse to attend the Flying Proms event at Shuttleworth the day before. It's a little bit of a trek for a day out being almost 130 miles away and getting there was a bit slow but gates didn't open until 2pm so we took it easy and arrived in plenty of time for a look around before the main event kicked off at 6pm. Bray airshow
