Beachy Head

NELSAM

In full this is the North East Land Sea & Air Museum which is situated on the edge of the former Sunderland airport. There are a few airframes outside, notably the Avro Vulcan which was under repaint when we visited, and also a couple of hangars with further exhibits. The main hangar in particular is pretty full with little room between displays making photography challenging.                                            

Morayvia

This is a small but interesting museum along the coast a little from Inverness. Certainly worth a look if you are in the area.

Dumfries and Galloways museum

This interesting Scottish museum is on the remains of the old airfield and uses the old control tower to good effect in displaying many artefacts. The highlight is probably the restored sptifire recovered from Loch Doon many years ago. A good way to start your birthday!

Hannover

An interesting museum primarily related to WWI and WWII aircraft with a particulary impressive Me109 and Fw190 pair.
