Elsewhere the CR42 was still in bits and routine maintenance was underway on a couple of the flyers. Work continues on the Heinkel 162, the Shackleton is progressing well with some tail plane parts painted and waiting to be attached to the aircraft. The main wings however have yet to be started.
On the flight line the VC10 is cloaked in scaffold and the new play area with a Wellington centre piece is slowly taking shape.
At least you got to see the Tempest. Are they hopeful for the September show which l assume you will be attending ?
ReplyDeleteBe nice to think it could be flying by then but not seen anything official yet. I do have it in mind to go but will see nearer the time what is likely to be in the show.
