The BBMF Dakota has been at Duxford for quite some while undergoing maintenance and a repaint in to a new SEAC scheme. It was close to finished when I saw it in the hangar in May and three weeks ago it was parked out on the flight line. It has now returned to the BBMF at Coningsby although it is scheduled to display at Duxford Battle of Britain show on 6th September.
Love the SEAC finish on it. Must try and catch up with it. Nice 'snap'.
ReplyDeleteDoes look smart now for sure.
DeleteHave you checked for roadworks this coming weekend which might effect your arrival to the South ? Road works at Thrapston which is North/West but just check on yer 'app' thingy. Currently EMR trains are saying there are no delays or engineering work planned for Whittesford with Anglia Trains for those who will insist on 'roughing it' on trains should get there OK without any 'aggro' this year.
ReplyDeleteI'll have a check. We are doing Sunday this time in the hope of catching the Lanc having not managed it at Shuttleworth or Manston. Guess it will depend on the weather.
DeletePlease do and allow for any detours that just happen to spring up. As far as l know everything's good so far but hey ho !!
ReplyDeleteCheck some kind of Dartford crossing 'flyover' shutting 8pm Saturday night.
ReplyDeleteLooks like normal flyover off A2 is closed all day Sunday for resurfacing (certainly needs it in places!) so I will have to go up to the next junction.
