Sad to hear that the Shuttleworth Trust Comet 'Grosvenor House' has crashed on landing at Old Warden. Thankfully the pulot is reported to be OK but the aircraft ended up upside down and there looks to be serious damage to the fuselage at the very least. Time (and money) will tell if it can be restored. Here is the Comet performing at the end of June.
Seems this was a very bouncy landing with the aircraft straying offline, digging into the grass and nosing over. All very unfortunate.
ReplyDeleteThe Shuttleworth Trust have confirmed their intention to restore the aircraft to airworthy status. Not sure what the timescale is but I wish them well.
