Operation Dynamo

Operation Dynamo was the evacuation of the beaches at Dunkirk in May 1940. Despite some derogatory comment the RAF were involved and so there is a replica Spitfire at Ramsgate harbour as part of the 85th anniversary commemorations currently under way. Of course, the Little Ships are the key to the commemorations and there is more about them in my blog post here. ,
