Avro York

The Avro York has now been moved out of the super hangar at Duxford. It does not fit with the planned cold war theme that is planned for the revamped display. This could easily have been rectified with a repaint in to a Berlin Airlift era scheme but the problem is that IWM do not own the York the Duxford Aviation Society do. It seems the DAS offered a repaint of this nature but sadly IWM turned it down and the York, along with the DAS owned Comet and Dove, have moved to new permanent display areas outside.
